From Restlessness to Realism: My Journey Into Tattooing at Eden’s Edge

WHERE I KNEW I NEEDED MORE

Not long ago, I was working third shift in Rhode Island, stuck in a cycle that felt like it led nowhere. Life was quiet. I wasn’t drawing, I wasn’t creating, and honestly, I wasn’t fulfilled. I knew something needed to change, even if I didn’t know what that would look like yet.

How Florida — and Eden’s Edge — Changed Everything

After booking a little trip out to Florida, and relentless tattoo artist searching I came across Ryan. When I started getting tattooed by Ryan Townsend at Eden’s Edge Tattoo in Florida, it flipped a switch in me. There was something about the atmosphere, the artistry, and the process that pulled me in. Ryan’s work and passion inspired me to explore the craft myself — even though, at the time, I didn’t have a background in art or drawing.

I spent the next couple of months grinding — drawing constantly, studying form, learning from mistakes, and pushing myself past what I thought I could do.

Eventually, that hard work paid off. I was offered an apprenticeship at Eden’s Edge, and that’s when everything started to shift.

My Work Today: Realism With Meaning

I’ve committed to pushing myself with every piece. I enjoy realism, black and grey work, fine line, and surreal illustrative styles. Whether it’s a symbolic image, a detailed portrait, or a dark, organic design, I aim to make each tattoo personal.

Why I Tattoo

Tattooing gave my life meaning when I needed it most. Now, I get to return that energy to others through my work. Every tattoo is a collaboration between your story and my craft. Whether it’s your first tattoo or your tenth, I want you to walk away with something unforgettable.

Let’s create something that means something.
